After receiving his law degree from Oxford University, Paul practiced as a barrister in London. In 2001, Paul moved to California where he practiced at a Los Angeles litigation boutique—which twice won the highest verdict in California—and Latham & Watkins LLP, one of the world’s premier international law firms.
In 2012, he co-founded Lewis & Llewellyn LLP, a San Francisco litigation boutique specializing in complex civil litigation. In 2015, his firm was named as one of the top law firm boutiques in California, and in 2016, Paul was named as one of the top 40 lawyers in California under the age of 40.
Paul is a frequent speaker, lecturing regularly on all aspects of litigation practice and procedure. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. In addition to serving as Vice-President and Honorary Legal Counsel to the BBS, Paul also serves on the Board of the British American Business Council.
